How Do Documents Impact Your Bottom
Line? Documents are the means by which information flows into, through, and out of your organization. Regardless
of whether your documents are paper-based or digital, the flow of these documents can have a tremendous impact on your organizations
bottom-line profitability, competitive advantage, and even your liability. An independent research study found that companies
spend as much as 10% of their revenue on the production, management and distribution of their documents.
How
Can Simile Help? The first step in managing document costs is understanding the flow of documents that are critical
to your business and the costs associated with the copies, faxes, and prints your company makes everyday. At Simile Imaging
Solutions, we specialize in helping our clients understand their document workflow and manage those costs without sacrificing
employee productivity.
Why Simile and Kyocera? As the only "exclusive" Kyocera dealer in Charlotte,
we are 100% committed to the Kyocera brand as the industry leader in providing our customers with superior document solutions
with the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and with the highest standards of Corporate Environmental Responsibility.
Kyocera has received the honor of being rated #1 for two years in a row (2002 and 2003) by Industry Analysts, Inc.
for Overall Product Performance including #1 for Reliability, #1 for Image Quality, #1 for Operability and Functionality,
and #1 for Maintenance/TCO.
TOTAL COST OF OWNERSHIP (TCO)
Digital copiers and printers are essential devices to enable
any office to function on a day-to-day basis. While most organizations only consider the initial cost of the hardware, the
day-to-day operating cost has to be considered in the total cost of any product. These operating costs can soar to surprisingly
high levels. Rather than replace the cartridge, which includes the drum and toner, ECOSYS printers require only the replacement
of toner to continue running throughout their product life span. The consumable expenditure is reduced and a significant reduction
in TCO is achieved.
The operating costs of traditional cartridge-based page printers can easily exceed more than three
times the original purchase price during the life of the product. By utilizing Kyocera’s proprietary ECOSYS technology,
a user can typically recoup a printers purchase price in one year or less.
CORPORATE ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY
Kyocera’s management philosophy is to "coexist
harmoniously with nature and society" and as such, they continuously strive to provide products that can be safely used and
that do not harm the environment. For this reason, they have sought to pass the environmental standards of many countries.
Japan’s Eco Mark, Germany’s Blue Angel, Canada’s ECO LOGO and America’s Energy Star have all been
achieved for Kyocera products. |
